Find your starting point
Bring a passion, an idea or a question. If you’re not sure yet, we can explore possibilities together.

Individual online mentoring to help Gippsland’s young people explore their passions, ideas and possibilities.
Starting in Gippsland. Thinking globally.
A developing mentoring pilot for 13–17-year-olds, led by Seizon valavaiau. One person, one conversation, and a starting point that belongs to you.
You might arrive with a big idea, a very particular passion or a feeling that there must be more out there. We can start with any of those.
We’re seeking funding for a first Gippsland pilot. Enquiries are welcome; dates and places are not yet confirmed.
Bring a passion, an idea or a question. If you’re not sure yet, we can explore possibilities together.
Decide what you want to discover or try. Your interests, pace and way of learning shape the approach.
Try something manageable, ask questions and follow useful surprises. There’s room to change direction.
Notice what you’ve learned and what matters to you. Choose a next step that feels like your own.
These are the foundations of the proposed pilot. The session rhythm and support arrangements will be agreed before mentoring begins.
A little room to wonder
Bring an idea, or try a direction that catches your attention. Turn a spark into a small project, at your pace and in your own way.
Choose the .json file you downloaded from this planner. It is read on your device and isn’t uploaded. Reopening replaces the plan in this page only after you confirm.
Write down something that catches your attention and one question about it. Choose a small project and a safe action to try. Add a milestone if it helps. Afterwards: what surprised you, and would you like to continue, pause or change direction?
The interactive planner needs JavaScript. You can still read about the pilot and email us below.
There’s more than one way forward
These are examples, not participant stories or a menu you have to fit into.
Love stories or games? You might develop a character, build a paper game or explore how a fictional world works.
Curious about wildlife or science? You might investigate a local question through observation, reading and a small project.
Notice something you’d like to improve? You might sketch an invention, explore a community idea or test a simple design.
A result could be something you make, a question you understand better or the confidence to try something new. You help decide what progress means.
Our starting point
Time as a teaching assistant showed Seizon valavaiau how sharing a story could open a world of possibilities.
There were experiences, ideas and places young people hadn’t heard about. Conversations opened up questions. Those questions sparked a bigger idea: start sharing that sense of possibility earlier in life.
Launch Horizon HQ brings together storytelling, curiosity and individual mentoring, with the ambition to begin in Gippsland and grow globally.
Seizon holds a valid Working with Children Check. The pilot’s consent, communication and child safety arrangements will be settled before sessions begin.

The aim is individual online mentoring built around your young person’s interests, questions and way of exploring.
We’re developing a funded pilot for 13–17-year-olds in Gippsland, with parents, carers and referral partners involved in setting up the support. Participants won’t need a polished idea or a particular career ambition.
Before sessions begin, we’ll agree the format, consent, communication boundaries, accessibility needs, an independent way to raise a concern and a planned ending. We’ll also explain what happens if a mentor is absent or a young person wants to stop. The pilot will use an agreed online meeting arrangement; there are no live mentoring sessions on this website.
Funding, dates, capacity and session arrangements are still being developed. Family enquiries express interest; they don’t reserve a place.

Help young people access a wider world of ideas, wherever they live.
We’re seeking funding and suitable partners for a first individual online mentoring pilot in Wellington Shire and wider Gippsland. Support could help with access, referrals, an auspice or specialist connections.
A useful pilot budget needs to cover the mentoring and the work around it: preparation, coordination, accessibility, independent safeguarding support and learning what helped. We’re shaping a small pilot before expanding to more mentors or places.
No council funding, partnership or endorsement is claimed. We’re inviting conversations about a pilot in development.
The first intended group is 13–17-year-olds in Gippsland. We welcome family enquiries and conversations with schools and community organisations. Funding, places and referral arrangements are not yet confirmed.
That’s a starting point too. Stories, questions and small experiments can help you notice what interests you. You can try the Spark Explorer above without joining anything.
The intention is individual mentoring led by Seizon, shaped around each young person’s interests and goals. There will be shared boundaries and support arrangements, with room for different projects, approaches and outcomes. Career exploration is optional. Trying something, changing direction or deciding to pause can all be useful.
Not yet. We’re developing the funded pilot and welcoming enquiries. Dates, capacity, consent and operating arrangements need to be in place before enrolment opens.
Your answers and project edits stay in this page while it’s open. They aren’t sent to us or automatically saved. You can choose to download a project file, then reopen it here later. Files are readable by anyone with access to them, so choose where you keep them carefully. Refreshing clears this page; starting a different plan asks before replacing your work. Copying puts text on your device’s clipboard.
We’re seeking funding to make the first pilot accessible to participants. Funding and places are not guaranteed. We aren’t taking payments or selling sessions through this site.
We’re drawing on interest-led Connected Learning, mentoring practice guidance and Australian child-safe resources as we develop the programme. These references don’t imply an affiliation or endorsement.
